His Word Will Never Pass Away

Matthew 24:35 - New International Version

Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.

Today I want to share a testimony that a friend shared with me. A few weeks ago, he stopped and filled up his gas tank on the way home from Bible study. As he was driving, he started smelling smoke. Being from the South, he assumed that someone was burning garbage. As he drove, the smell got stronger and stronger. He figured that he was getting closer to the fire. He had no idea how close he was. He wasn't far from home, but the spirit of Lord told him to pull over. So he did. Smoke began to rise from under the hood, so he grabbed his phone and got out. He didn't turn around until he was about 20 or 30 steps away from his truck. By the time he turned around, sparks were coming from under the hood. Then, the truck went up in flames.
The truck was consumed by the fire. The fire department rushed to the scene and put it out. The only thing left of the truck was the frame. The seats, gone. Personal belongings, gone. The fire fighters asked if he wanted anything from in the car. His response was, "There's nothing left". But, he was wrong. Only one thing survived the fire. That was his Bible. There wasn't a scratch on it. Not one pages was scorched or burned. Hallelujah! God's word never passes away.

God Bless
