Relationships

21Out of respect for Christ, be courteously reverent to one another.
22-24Wives, understand and support your husbands in ways that show your support for Christ. The husband provides leadership to his wife the way Christ does to his church, not by domineering but by cherishing. So just as the church submits to Christ as he exercises such leadership, wives should likewise submit to their husbands.
25-28Husbands, go all out in your love for your wives, exactly as Christ did for the church—a love marked by giving, not getting. Christ's love makes the church whole. His words evoke her beauty. Everything he does and says is designed to bring the best out of her, dressing her in dazzling white silk, radiant with holiness. And that is how husbands ought to love their wives. They're really doing themselves a favor—since they're already "one" in marriage.

There is definitely an attack on Godly marriages. The devil does not like marriage. Marriage is honorable and designed by God. Now is the time for prayer. The Bible says, he that finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the Lord. Being unequally yoked is more than being married to an unbeliever. Women, pray for a man that can handle your favor. Men, make sure you can handle her favor before you marry her.

Wives, support your husband and respect him. Allow him to lead the household. Submit to your husband. What does it mean to submit? To give over or yield to the power or authority of another and to defer to another's judgment, opinion, decision. Husbands, love your wife as you love yourself. Do not do anything to your wife that you would not do to yourself. Would a man beat himself? Love your wife as Christ loves the church. Christ loved the church so much that He gave His life for the church.

Pray for marriages. If the enemy destroys marriages, he can destroy families. If families are destroyed, then the neighborhoods are a mess. If the neighborhoods are a mess, the enemy can take the city. Then the enemy wants the state, then the country. Christians are called to be salt and light.
