Something About His Presence

I have been hearing a lot about intimacy lately. There is something about being in the presence of the Lord. Have you ever been in love? When you are in love with a person, you spend a lot of time with them. You love to be their presence. If you are having a bad day, being in their presence makes you feel better. If something good happens you want to tell them about it. The sign of true intimacy is the ability to be in a person's presence and just be silent. Silence is golden. There is no pretension in silence. You are not saying what you think someone wants to hear.

How intimate are you with God? Do you enjoy His presence? Are you able to sit and just be silent? Can you come into His presence without asking Him for anything? Are you intimate enough to just adore Him and tell Him how wonderful He is? Do you long for intimacy with God? Just ask. Spend time with Him. He hasn't gone anywhere, He's patiently waiting.

Psalm 95:2
Let us come before Him giving thanks. Let us make a sound of joy to Him with songs.
