The Bond of Fellowship

Psalm 133
The Message
A Pilgrim Song of David 1-3
How wonderful, how beautiful, when brothers and sisters get along! It's like costly anointing oil flowing down head and beard, Flowing down Aaron's beard, flowing down the collar of his priestly robes. It's like the dew on Mount Hermon flowing down the slopes of Zion. Yes, that's where God commands the blessing, ordains eternal life.

It is a beautiful thing to fellowship with your family. If you are a child of God, you have an extended family like no other. Wonderful things happen when you fellowship with other Christians. It is easy to make excuses not to, because one of the places that warfare occurs is in the church. You may have thought or said that Sis. So and SO gets on your nerves or Bro. You-know-who is annoying. But what does the Word say about it?

The Bible says don't forsake the fellowship. Jesus teaches that your brothers and sisters are those who do the will of your Father. There is a special blessing, a special anointing poured out when God's children get together. He commands a blessing. Not only do two put ten thousand demons to flight, put that brother or sister may have a word from God for you. Or, he or she may be one of the funniest people you will ever meet. They may have information about a house, car, job, a doctor, etc. But it will be what you need at the time. You might find out that you had a lot in common. Bonds are formed in fellowship.

The devil's plan is to keep us divided so he can conquer. But he is a liar! Don't forsake the fellowship, there is a guaranteed blessing.

God Bless
