What is your dream? Has your vision become blurred? Has opposition, discouragement, or adversity caused your to lose sight of the vision God has given to you? Did you carry the dream for about six months only to decide that it will never come to pass and then abort it? Or is your dream somewhere deep down inside of you? Langston Hughes wrote a poem entitled, “Dream Deferred”. What happens to a dream deferred? What happened to your dream? Are you prepared to see your dream become a reality? Get out of the boat! If you want to talk on water, you have to get out of the boat. It is time to create the atmosphere to make that dream a reality.
Here are some tools for creating an atmosphere for your dreams to become reality:
Know that He can do anything!
“Is anything too hard for the Lord? God can do anything you know – far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, his Spirit deeply and gently within us.”
-Ephesians 3: 20
Dream big! Whatever dream God has given you, that is only the tip of the iceberg. He is capable of bigger. God is will do greater than you can ask or think according to the power that works in you. What is that power? Faith is a key ingredient to making your dream a reality. Abraham was fully persuaded that God would do what He promised. God promised Abraham and Sarah a child. They were considered past the age of having children by the world’s standards. Abraham knew that God could do anything. If God promised it, He will perform it. At the age of 100 and 90 respectively, God made their dream a reality.
Even though God called Abraham and placed a dream in his heart, he was required to obey and walk in faith. It’s the same today. If you want the kind of results Abraham got, then you have to walk by faith like he did. God is going to make that dream come true. It’s just a matter of time. God says that if you don’t get weary and don’t faint, then you will reap in due season.
God Bless
